Rooted in Icelandic Spirit,

Inspiring Global Good.

We Are Launching Soon...

While we are hard at work making AOKO a reality, let me share the AOKO story with you...

Around the age of 15 every child makes a bold statement – I will never be like my parents.

The only problem with that statement is by the time we reach that age, we have already built our entire image of the world by modeling the people closest to us. Primarily, our parents…

I am no exception to that.

Like any other teenager, I said I would never be like my father.

It took me many years and significant investment in personal development, specifically the 5 love languages, to understand that I am just like my father.

His primary love language was acts of kindness. He would always do things to help other people.

The only thing I did differently was to replace his toolbox (hammer, chainsaw, etc.) with a keyboard and a mouse.

Everything else is exactly the same.

That understanding nurtured a beautiful, loving relationship in the last few years of his life, just by me changing the way I looked at him and communicating with him.

When my father passed away in May 2024, I decided to create the Acts of Kindness Organization (AOKO for short) in loving memory of him and his legacy.

Based in Reykjanesbaer on the Southern Peninsula in Iceland, AOKO is rooted in the Icelandic spirit symbolizing a community-cooperative alongside creativity, resilience, and innovation. AOKO aims to facilitate acts of kindness starting in Iceland and scaling to the rest of the world focusing mainly on food security and financial education for kids.

Join us in making a difference!
